Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism and Learning Disabilities may seem to be distinctly different and complex issues. In fact, many of the elements of these and other behavioral disorders of childhood have, as a common root, a deficit in sensory motor integration. From the very beginning of life, a child's responses to the world around them are a direct result of the sensory information received and how it is processed, integrated and translated into movement.
This 50 hour, 2 part certificate program will cover the development of the brain and the genesis of neurobehavioral disorders. The course will explore the relationships of all facets of learning and behavioral disorders to clinical practice. Detailed strategies for diagnosing evolving disorders will be discussed, leading to specific treatment protocols. The program will include treatment plan development as well as appropriate documentation generation. The program integrates the most current materials available in a problem oriented mode of learning with an emphasis on clinical application.
If you are a clinician who wishes to make a difference in his / her service to humankind then we invite you to attend.

Comparison of the Instructional Efficacy of Internet-Based CME with Live Interactive CME Workshops - - New Article from Sept 05 JAMA
|
Comparison of the Instructional Efficacy of Internet-Based CME with Live Interactive CME Workshops. Forids MD, King PhD, Ballantyne MD, Jones MD,
Schneider MBA, Spann MD, Greenberg MD, Greisinger PhD. JAMA 2005 September 7, 2005. Volume 294, No 9:1043-1051.
Context
Despite evidence that a variety of continuing medical education (CME) techniques can foster physican behavioral change, there have been no randomized
trials comparing performance outcomes for physicians participating in Internet-based CME with physicians participating in a
live CME intervention using approaches documented to be effective.
Conclusions
Appropriately designed, evidence based online CME can produce objectively measured changes in behavior as well as sustained gains
in knowledge that are comparable or superior to those realized from effective live activities.
